Louise Blakeway – Portraiture Workshop, the opportunity to work directly from a model, in a variety of both short and long poses to develop both analytical drawing skills and an expressive, experimental approach to life drawing. Helena Godwin – Spring weaving, Spring is the perfect time to weave using willow, a wonderful natural resource found in abundance locally. In this workshop we will be using withies as well as other materials to create fairly large light weight sculptures. April, Saturday 8th. Full details HERE

Maria Boyle – Colour and Dye Effects, Working with colour and its meaning is an important part of Maria’s practice. This workshop explores the psychology and language of colour and its use in self-expression. In addition it offers practical advice on how to use a colour wheel, mix difficult hues and ways to explore your personal colour palette. Then using pigments and dyes have fun with colour making your own pieces on cloth and/or paper. This workshop is suitable for all levels, from beginners to those a bit more experienced. Sheila Farrell – Unknown Portraits: observing the essence of character’. This workshop is aimed at anyone who writes or would like to start writing. Whether you write prose, poetry, drama, or something experimental this workshop is designed for any level of experience with beginners very welcome. Using exercises, experiences and imagery to inspire ideas it will be a playful look at making a portrait in words, finding the essence of what makes people interesting and engaging and where you might take this in your writing. Emma Safe – Life drawing with Acrobatics. Don’t expect anything to stay still for long! An opportunity to extend your life drawing practice, working from a (clothed) moving model. Warming up, tumbling, dances in air, capture the essence of movement working from a live acrobat-performer.
